In 1997, Clint Eastwood directed the movie"Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil". The movie was set in Savannah, Georgia and much of the story takes place in the one-time home of the Mercer family. Eastwood siezed on the opportunity to interlace the film with music that was written by Johnny Mercer.
A compact disk of the same name was released featuring Johnny Mercers' music with a different artist for each song. My favorite of these is "This Time the Dream's on Me"sung by bluegrass sensation Allison Krauss with a great tenor sax solo by Ernie Watts.
